App is excellent

Not a bad app, definitely going to use this app for future traveling purposes.

Much better than a rental car business

Its really nice to be able to choose your cars. The people are nice and flexible. Only thing I suggest is that you pay attention to the allotted mileage before booking, you may run through them faster than you think.

It was really easy to use the app. Everything worked well with the rental and I will definitely be using Turo again.

Amazing. Simply

This set up is simply amazing and easy! Its basically Private Air Travel but for Car Rental. Ill never use a car rental company again. So so so easy!

A great spin on car rental

Turo is the uber of car rentals. Pretty quick to work with folks to plan a rental for a trip. Gives folks 8hrs to respond when booking. One warning I have is make sure your credit card does not block the transaction! It did an auto cancellation on my first trip because of this -- and it will not warn you that this may be the case!!!

Great app and concept.

This is basically Uber/Lyft for car rental. This app enables you to rent vehicles from private parties. My only issue is they need to make it more clear that you have to be approved before you can rent. The app had allowed me to set up a rental before I was approved and then sent me to the approval process. I did not realize until afterwards the reservation never went through.

Great service

Love using turo and the app works great overall. Ive noticed if my phone has lower coverage the app doesnt work well or reliably when other apps are ok. Might be a little data intensive?

DO NOT USE. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY

Not only was getting a car bad but dealing with customer service was ever worse. The first time I tried renting a car the owner canceled with no notice. I still have not received a refund. The second time the owner needed to cancel 3 hours prior to me picking up because the car I choose to book was booked before me and the person wanted an extension. She was pleasant but wanted me to cancel and rebook. A little annoyed I called Turo to make sure Id get a refund this time. Mind you, I still have yet to receive it from the first cancelation and this is a week difference. She verified the messages on Turo and issued me a "Travel Credit" to my account so I could immediately book again. I did so for a car 2$ more and thought everything was situated. Boy was I wrong. An hour later I get a text as well as an email stating my reservation was canceled. A few minutes after that I was told my membership for Turo was declined. I called inquiring why and all I was told is the approval department only handles things through email and that my refund would be issued to the account. So, Im getting a "Travel Credit" back to an account that was declined and I cant access. When I emailed them about it asking to atleast know why I was declined I was told "We have carefully reviewed your application and we’re sorry to report that we won’t be able to let you rent or list cars on Turo. To maintain a safe and strong marketplace, Turo does not release the details of our review process as doing so would compromise its effectiveness." So, Im basically out $150 because of them. Do not waste your time or money with this company.

Best way to rent a car!

When I needed a 4wd vehicle for a mountain adventure in CO, I was shocked at the standard rental car rates. Turos business model was the perfect alternative and I was able to select an ideal car for me, at a reasonable price, with a kind and helpful car owner. I highly recommend Turo.

I think Turo should make it a mandatory requirement to be able to list a vehicle you need to maintain a response rating of at least 90% .... cant tell you how many times I have tried renting from someone to not get a reply or acknowledgement of receiving my request. Other than that, he app does what it says it does it doesnt have as many issues as before, and my renting experience so far has been a positive one from the people I rented from.

Better UI than Getaround. In my experience, the renters are also better to work with.

Save some money

Saved about $100 over regular rental at LAX. But dont believe it when they say owner will deliver to the airport. One owner refused to rent when I didnt want to pick it up at a private address. Another sent me to a free LAX Metro lot. Turo provides a lot for another $25 fee, which wasnt disclosed up front for LAX. LAX is a pain, but knowing the full truth of costs ahead of time should be the rule.

Good App. Terrible company.

Prices look great. Cars look great. After picking out the perfect car, I pay. But lo! and behold, I have to verify my info again, after already doing so. This time by taking a picture of my drivers license and a picture of my drivers license. 4 minutes later, an email: "Were sorry to say we cant approve you to rent from the Turo marketplace." Huh? Havent had so much as a traffic ticket in over 4 years. So I ask the simple question: "what requirements did I not meet?" 4 minutes later: "To maintain a safe and strong marketplace, Turo does not release the details of our review process." Im sorry, whatnow? Some arbitrary secret process that clearly has nothing to do with my driving record is preventing me from using your service? Okay. Piss-poor customer service.
